Greg Amrofell is the Chief Marketing Officer at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, which aims to deliver timely and relevant scientific evidence to improve health policy and practice. Greg’s team leads communications, content development, outreach, and data visualization, playing a significant role in disseminating IHME’s recent projections of COVID-19 and the long-running Global Burden of Disease study.

Prior to joining IHME, Greg founded Intentional Futures, where he worked directly with world leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs to help them anticipate and plan for the future. He and his colleagues provided analysis, generated concepts, and designed new products to catalyze business and social transformations in domains including health care, education, technology, and global development. Greg’s career also includes work at Microsoft, with Silicon Valley startups, and teaching in rural South Africa. He earned his MBA at Berkeley-Haas and bachelor’s degree at Georgetown.
