Emil Hill has more than 20 years of experience providing strategic counsel and directing data driven earned, owned and paid campaigns, crisis and reputation management communications, issues campaigns, CSR and influencer advocacy programs. Throughout his career, Emil has supported some of the nation’s largest foundations, Fortune 500 companies, leading trade associations and civil and human rights groups. He has worked across industries and sectors, from financial services to quick service restaurants, media and entertainment a variety of industries, including healthcare, technology, government, finance, education, defense, litigation, as well as diversity, equity and inclusion.

Currently, Emil serves as senior counsel to a wide range of clients across sectors and industries, who are seeking to mitigate reputational risk, educate and mobilize key stakeholders, redefine culture, engage consumers and respond to internal and external calls for racial equality. In this role, he leverages data to build, execute and measure communications strategies to solve problems.

Before joining Weber Shandwick, Emil worked at Manning Selvage & Lee where he managed comprehensive integrated communications programs for corporate, non-profit and government clients, including Verizon, National Geographic Foundation, the U.S. Army and George Washington University.

Emil is a national trustee for the Boys and Girls Club of America and the National Medical Fellowship. He is active in local and national Democratic politics. Emil is also a frequent lecturer and commentator on public issues – he has served as a guest lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, the University of Southern California School of Business, and Morehouse College where he received a BA.
