Cameron Batten

Samsung: Vice President Corporate Communications

Cameron Batten is the Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications for Samsung Electronics America. His team is responsible for building belief and deepening trust in the one of the world’s most dynamic consumer brands. He is based in Ridgefield Park, N.J., and leads corporate public relations, risk communications, internal communications and the company’s U.S. Newsroom. He is also the Executive Sponsor of the company’s LGBTQ+ employee resource group.

Cameron joined Samsung in 2019 and has more than two decades of experience in corporate affairs. He and his teams have been recognized by the Public Relations Society of America, International Association of Business Communicators and the Sabre Awards for building best-in-class communication capabilities and campaigns.

Prior to Samsung, Cameron served as the Vice President of Communications for Capital One based in McLean, Va. From 2014-2017, he led Workforce Communications at Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick, N.J., and was a member of the Human Resources Executive Committee. From 2010 - 2014, he served as Vice President of Communications at American Express in New York and drove the company's global employer brand efforts. From 2003-2010, he was a Senior Communications Officer at Philips, based in Amsterdam, and held a number of roles in brand management and corporate communications in both the Netherlands and the United States. He started his career in employee communications at Universal Studios in Florida.

He graduated as a distinguished scholar in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has taught at New York University’s Graduate School of Professional Studies and is an alumnus of the Arthur W. Page Society’s Future Leaders Program.
